TASCAM released the latest firmware V2.3.1 for its digital mixers, “TASCAM Sonicview 24 / TASCAM Sonicview 24dp” and “TASCAM Sonicview 16 / TASCAM Sonicview 16dp,” as well as the latest version V2.3.1 of the remote control app, “TASCAM Sonicview Control.”

Firmware V2.3.1
The following functions have been added.
- Added POWER REDUNDANCY CHECK setting and power status display to the Preferences screen
- Added power status display to the top right of the INFORMATION screen
- Added Power Status related items to ERROR/ALERT and INFORMATION in GPIO-OUT settings.
- Added Power Status related messages to error/alert messages
- (Note) These functions are only available for dual-power models. However, Parameter 2 “OFF” in INFORMATION > Power Status in the GPIO-OUT settings can also be used with single-power models (TASCAM Sonicview 16/24).
- Added “METER SETUP” to Parameter2 in Screen > METER in the User Key / Foot Switch / GPIO-IN settings.
- In the Password section of the Network Setup screen, the initial password was changed to a unique password for each device.
- However, for devices with factory firmware versions earlier than V2.3.1, the initial password will remain unchanged.
- Fixed an issue where WEIGHT would be controlled by the LCD knob even after changing the display in the SEND area while Auto Mixer was displayed in the SEND area of the HOME screen and WEIGHT was selected.
- Fixed a problem in which the OVERVIEW screen and Ch Display meter display would not function correctly when the MIX module OUTPUT was set to Dante and the Metering Point was set to OUTPUT.
- Fixed a problem in which the SB-16D settings were sometimes not reflected correctly when recalling All System Data or Snapshot.
- The built-in recorder can now be assigned to the OUTPUT PORT SELECT of the MIX module.
- When you touch an item in the OUTPUT PORT tab on the Routing screen, it will now transition to the OUTPUT MODULE tab.
- In the GPIO-OUT Mute Status, Parameter 3 “Unmute – Closed” was renamed to “Mute – Open” and the ON/OFF conditions of AND and OR were reversed.
- Added “Toggle” to Parameter 2 of Input Source > ALL for User Key/Foot Switch/GPIO-IN
- Fixed an issue where the Layer Key color was not reflected correctly when recalling a snapshot.
- Fixed a problem in which noise occurred in the output audio of the MIX module in the CH25-32 module under the following conditions:
- Set DELAY to ON and DELAY TIME to a value greater than 0 msec
- Set DELAY POINT to PRE FADER
- Set PRE/POST SETTINGS to PRE
- Improved stability of operation
TASCAM Sonicview Control V2.3.1
Supports new functions added in the main unit firmware (V2.3.1).
- Fixed a bug that caused the application to terminate abnormally when sending commands such as changing the Analog Gain of the SB-16D via Ember+ while the SB-16D was unmounted.
