The Aputure Electro Storm series of lights has begun preorders from corresponding sellers globally. The Aputure Electro Storm CS15 and XT26 will be released in the next few months, but for now, orders are now being accepted. Electro Storm is a series of high-power lights designed for professionals. The product lineup features Aputure’s latest technologies, such as IP65 dust- and drip-proof construction, electronic control of compatible accessories, and advanced liquid cooling technology. It also adopts a dual accessory mount, in addition to the universal Bowens mount, Aputure’s uniquely developed new mechanism, A mount (electronic contact), can be used with both accessories. The A-mount allows not only electronic control of accessories, but also a calibration function and optimization of light output according to the attached accessories.
Available Accessories for the Aputure Electro Storm
The CS15 is a 1500W full color light, and the XT26 is a 2600W bicolor light, each of which is a high output light equivalent to HMI 1.8kw/4kw. The accessories announced at the same time are designed to match the Electro Storm, and enable electronic control of the accessories through A-mount electronic contacts.
A compatible accessory is the A-mount F14 Fresnel with a diameter of 14 inches (350 mm) and a beam angle of 18° to 45°. It can be attached to the A-mount light body of the high-power output Electro Storm CS15/XT26 to produce light. By using the included barn door and focusing the light, it is possible to irradiate at a narrower angle.
The beam angle can also be controlled electrically using the control knob or the LCD screen on the side. In addition to operating the Fresnel-equipped control knob and light control box, operators can also operate the F14 Fresnel remotely from the Sidus Link app or DMX.
