Hasselblad has released the latest and largest wide-angle lens in the XCD Versatile (V) series, the Hasselblad XCD 2,5/25V lens. The price is approximately $3,800 USD, including tax.
With a full-frame equivalent focal length of 20mm and a maximum aperture of f/2.5, the XCD 2,5/25V is a wide-angle, large-aperture lens. The combination of a large aperture of f/2.5 and excellent optical performance allows users to capture rich light and shadow in every frame, even at dusk or after sunset.
The XCD 2,5/25V employs a lens configuration of 13 elements in 10 groups, including four aspherical lenses and three ED lenses, to meet the high-resolution requirements of the 100MP sensor. It is equipped with a large aperture lens with a minimum focusing distance of 25cm and a magnification ratio of 1:5:8.
The XCD 2,5/25V, with its design unique to the Hasselblad XCD V lens series, is characterized by its beauty and controllability. The “V” mark engraved on the lens and the “H” logo engraved on both the focus ring and control ring further emphasize its elegance.
Focus Ring switches MF and AF modes
Simply push/pull the focus ring lightly to quickly switch between AF and MF modes. In MF mode, the scales on the lens allow users to intuitively check the focal length and depth of field, enabling precise focus control. As an extension of the camera, functions such as aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and exposure compensation can be customized on the control ring, making it easy to capture the perfect moment.
The XCD 2.5/25V is equipped with a linear stepping motor and a small, lightweight focus lens group, which, when combined with a Hasselblad X or V system camera with PDAF, delivers a quick, responsive focusing experience.
The lens features a large aperture leaf shutter module with a maximum shutter speed of 1/4,000s, allowing both global shutter and flash sync at all speeds.
