PRONEWS SUMMIT
KIPON unveiled its medium-format cinema zoom lens, the CINESPEED65 37-156mm Cine Zoom, for the first time in the world at the “PRONEWS SUMMIT 2025” exhibition in Tokyo. Orders are already open, and shipments are expected to begin soon.
This lens boasts incredible performance, covering focal lengths from 37mm to 156mm while maintaining a bright T3.6 throughout the entire zoom range. Its 60mm image circle boasts a wide enough range to cover cameras such as the ARRI Alexa 65, Blackmagic Design’s 17K camera, and even the Fujifilm GFX series. It uses an LPL mount and is said to offer excellent correction of distortion and chromatic aberration.
There are very few zoom lenses on the market that cover this class of image circle. The KIPON CINESPEED65 is truly a one-of-a-kind lens. It is priced at $43,800. At IBC 2025, it will also be exhibited in combination with Blackmagic Design’s 17K camera.
The booth also displayed other unique products, such as a speed booster that makes Contax 645 lenses compatible with autofocus on the Fujifilm GFX series, and a tuner adapter that can adjust the quality of the bokeh, demonstrating the company’s advanced technological capabilities.
