Canon announced the company released the latest firmware updates for its EOS R7 and EOS R50 cameras. They are available for download from the company’s website.
Canon Firmware Updates – March 2026 Update Details
■ EOS R7 Firmware Version 1.8.0
- Display settings when using the RF-S7.8mm F4 STM DUAL have been improved. Additionally, two new aspect ratio options have been added: [3:2 (aspect ratio)] and [1:1 (aspect ratio)].
- This update corrects an issue where Err70 could occur during Bluetooth communication due to interference from other Bluetooth devices.
- Fixed an issue where Err70 would occasionally occur when repeatedly shooting with “High-Speed Continuous Shooting+”.
- Other improvements include enhanced operational stability.
■ EOS R50 Firmware Version 1.5.0
