
Sony released firmware version 3.00 for its CineAlta camera, “BURANO.” It is available for download from Sony’s firmware download page .
Details of the BURANO Firmware Version 3.00 update are as follows:
- Imager scan mode added:
The following imager scan modes have been added.
- FF 5.8K 6:5 (Maximum frame rate 30fps)
- S35c 3.8K 16:9 (Maximum frame rate 120fps)
- X-OCN recording support when setting Imager Scan Mode (S35 1.9K 16:9):
When Imager Scan Mode is set to S35 1.9K 16:9 (maximum frame rate 240fps), it is now possible to select X-OCN as the recording format. - Improved usability and operational efficiency:
- It now supports normal peaking.
- You can now select the edge detection method for color peaking.
- The tracking target for real-time tracking AF can now be selected using the multi-selector.
- Wireless LAN, Wired LAN, and USB Tethering can now also be configured on the network status screen.
- Expanding functionality in live production:
- When the Target Display is set to HDR (HLG), you can now select HLG Mild.
- Supports simplified SDR display during HDR shooting.
- Support for FPS, Shutter, and Saturation command operation from the remote control panel has been added.
- The output range for SDI and HDMI outputs can now be selected.
- Other improved features:
- Added a metadata item that is superimposed on the SDI output when Monitor is set to FHD.
- When using wireless LAN access point mode and setting the channel to the 5GHz band, it is now possible to select the bandwidth.
- The way clip names are displayed has been improved.
- The usability from the “Monitor&Control” application has been improved.
