OM Digital Solutions announced that GoPro newly endorsed the “Micro Four Thirds System Standard.” OM Digital Solutions, together with Panasonic Corporation collaborates to promote the Micro Four Thirds System Standard since its joint announcement in 2008.
On August 26, 2026, GoPro announced the “MISSION 1 PRO ILS,” its first interchangeable-lens cinema camera that uses the Micro Four Thirds mount.
The MISSION 1 PRO ILS combines GoPro’s signature compact and robust design with the flexibility of the Micro Four Thirds system, allowing users to select lenses according to their shooting needs. It is expected that the use of the Micro Four Thirds system will expand even further, from amateur video production to professional video production and even top-tier filmmaking.
OM Digital Solutions, as the company that proposed the standard, stated that it will continue to collaborate with supporting companies to expand its product lineup that complies with the standard and contribute to the development of digital imaging systems that meet the diverse needs of users.
About MISSION 1 PRO ILS
The MISSION 1 PRO ILS is GoPro’s first interchangeable-lens cinema camera. The camera features a newly developed 50MP 1.0-inch sensor and a next-generation GP3 processor, and supports video recording up to 8K60p. In addition, Open Gate shooting, which utilizes the entire sensor, supports up to 8K30p and 4K120p.
This compact camera, weighing approximately 197g, features a Micro Four Thirds mount. It can be combined with manual focus Micro Four Thirds lenses to suit various shooting purposes, including macro, telephoto, and wide-angle. Furthermore, with the use of an adapter, it is compatible with vintage lenses, PL mount cinema lenses, and other specialized lenses.
It also features functions to support professional video production, such as 10-bit color, GP-Log2, HLG HDR video, timecode synchronization, focus assist, focus peaking, and 32-bit float audio.
