NAB2026

Avid announced that it will showcase Content Core, an innovative technology platform to help it succeed in the next generation of the media economy, at “NAB Show 2026.” NAB Show will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center from April 18 to 22, 2026.
Avid Content Core Launched at NAB Show 2026
At booth N2226, they will demonstrate how news organizations, production companies, studios, and broadcasters can create and manage content more efficiently and extract greater value from their media assets through intelligent, connected workflows.
This enables modernization without operational risks or disruption. As the only platform built to integrate the entire media lifecycle, Avid uniquely connects workflows, data, and teams with AI-driven capabilities to deliver smarter automation, speed, and agility.
As media companies face significant change and production models and revenue streams shift, the pressure to produce more stories, faster, with limited resources, and transform operations is increasing. At NAB Show 2026, Avid will demonstrate how organizations can integrate their entire workflow and connect teams, data, and content through deep media expertise, cutting-edge technology, and actionable AI capabilities.
Comments from Avid Executives on Avid Content Core
“The industry needs a better way of working, and it needs vendors who understand the economics of next-generation media architecture,” Avid’s CEO, Welford Dillard, commented. “That’s why we built Content Core. By combining the industry’s most trusted creative tools with AI-enhanced intelligent workflows, we aim to break down silos and enable media organizations to work seamlessly and efficiently.”
Content Core not only delivers an exceptionally high return on investment (ROI), but it’s also designed to enable clients to modernize their existing operations without disruption and transform without unnecessary complexity.
At the heart of the Avid show is “Avid Content Core,” now available commercially. This award-winning content data platform is the industry’s first truly cloud-native production solution. It integrates asset identification, ingest, storage, metadata, orchestration, and rights information into a single intelligent layer, eliminating fragmentation between tools, teams, and processes.
This supports hybrid environments spanning on-premises and cloud infrastructure, enabling post-production and news teams to work faster while improving the quality of content discovery, management, and reuse.
AI-Driven Intelligence
Building on the momentum from its announcement at IBC2025, Avid will showcase new technologies that extend the capabilities of Content Core. These include AI-driven intelligence, agent-based workflows, and automation to support not only content management but also active understanding, orchestration, and monetization.
“We are pleased to welcome NAB Show 2026 with Avid Content Core to the market, ready to deliver a cloud-native foundation for modern media operations,” Kenna Hilburn, Avid’s Chief Product Officer (CPO), commented. “It integrates post-production and news teams within a flexible hybrid ecosystem without forcing a replacement of existing successful systems. We envision a future where Content Core becomes the intelligence layer for the entire media company.”
New technologies and exhibits in Avid solutions
Throughout the booth, Avid will demonstrate new features and updates that will help media organizations modernize their workflows, scale production, and collaborate more effectively. Key features include:
Next-generation post-production workflow
Featuring Media Composer, Pro Tools, and Avid NEXIS, this new approach proposes a fresh way to editorial collaboration in increasingly complex productions. It enables scalable teamwork in distributed environments without sacrificing speed. The technology preview showcases AI-powered media discovery, logging, metadata assignment, and clip generation, as well as enhanced editorial experiences to expand collaboration. Built on Content Core, these innovative technologies support reliable asset tracking across format and location, instant relinking between resolutions, and a new parallel processing engine, helping editors focus on production.
The evolution of multi-platform news production
MediaCentral, iNEWS, and Wolftech News will demonstrate new storytelling capabilities. They will showcase a unified workflow for planning, story development, and distribution to both linear (broadcast) and digital platforms through deep integration via Content Core. They will also unveil Stream I/O’s new sub-clipping feature, enabling journalists to quickly create and reuse stories for broadcast, digital, and social media. These enhanced workflows allow for a story-centric approach, enabling news teams to seamlessly shape and deliver content in a rapidly changing multi-platform environment.
Expanding cloud-enabled media workflows
At NAB 2026, Avid will show guests how to seamlessly run production in hybrid and cloud environments without compromising performance, security, or creative flexibility. Rather than forcing a uniform cloud migration. Additionally, Content Core connects existing infrastructure with the latest cloud-native capabilities, allowing each organization to migrate at its own pace. Avid also plans on announcing new cloud partnerships and technologies that expand deployment flexibility and interoperability in modern production infrastructure.
The company will also be giving a sneak peek at the latest integration features and innovative technologies from our partner network. They will showcase how third-party technologies are enriching and extending Avid workflows, including AI-powered Media Composer extensions from Quickture, Flawless, and Acclaim Audio, as well as integrations with Fraunhofer and CuttingRoom.
