
Panasonic announced the latest firmware updates for six camera bodies and four interchangeable lenses in the LUMIX S series line.
This firmware update adds support for a newly developed microphone to the camera body and strengthens app integration with the Lumix S Series cameras and lenses. Additionally, this update adds a function to customize operability to the lens.
Each firmware can be downloaded from Panasonic’s support page.
The contents of the update are as follows:
LUMIX S series firmware update – Cameras: LUMIX S1II / LUMIX S1IIE / LUMIX S1RII / LUMIX S5II / LUMIX S5IIX
- Compatible with the company’s microphone “DMW-DMS1”
- Compatible with the LUMIX smartphone app “LUMIX Flow (Ver. 1.5 or later)”
- Improved stability of operation
Camera body: LUMIX S9
- Improved stability of operation
Lenses Updated: LUMIX S PRO 16-35mm F4 / LUMIX S PRO 24-70mm F2.8 / LUMIX S PRO 70-200mm F4 OIS / LUMIX S PRO 70-200mm F2.8 OIS
- During AF, it is now possible to assign functions to the focus ring.
- The rotation direction of the focus ring can now be selected as desired.
