Inter BEE 2025 – Exhibition Booth Preview

Sony at their Inter BEE 2025 exhibit will be showcasing a wide range of solutions that will support the future of the media industry under the theme “Creativity Connected: Connecting Together to the Future of Content Production.”
The Sony At Inter BEE 2025 exhibits are as follows:
An evolving news production workflow that meets the needs of the newsroom
News production sites require efficient and rapid video production. This event will introduce the evolved news production workflow that supports this. It will also propose solutions tailored to the needs of news sites, such as a camera product lineup that improves operability on-site and enables more immediate production, while also meeting the recent demands for reliable content from news organizations, and a new news production system that allows for rapid version upgrades and security measures.
PXW-Z300 XDCAM memory camcorder, LiveU TX1 data transmitter
The XDCAM handy camcorder “PXW-Z300,” which went on sale in October 2025, will be exhibited for the first time in Japan. As the flagship model of professional handy camcorders, this model boasts excellent image rendering performance and is the world’s first camcorder to comply with the C2PA standard, which records authenticity information into video. It is compatible with workflows that utilize 5G and cloud technology, enabling more immediate video production.

PXW-Z30Additionally, the LiveU TX1, a compact data transmitter jointly developed by LiveU in partnership with Sony, will be exhibited for the first time in Japan (prototype exhibit, scheduled for commercial release in 2026). Equipped with functions such as “bonding transmission” that bundles multiple communication lines and automatically transmitting material simply by connecting to a camera via USB, the device supports a more immediate news production workflow.
As part of an effort to speed up news production workflows, a new camera gateway application will be exhibited as a reference.
“Contents Production Accelerator” News production system
“Contents Production Accelerator” is a new packaged news production system. By adopting standardized specifications, it will be possible to implement regular updates and security measures more flexibly. The version scheduled for release in November 2025 will support a web-based material browser function, with various functions to be expanded in the future.
Live production that adds value to content
In sports and music broadcasts, there is growing demand for diverse footage from various angles and content with higher added value. Sony will be showcasing solutions that support increased added value in live production, such as compact and lightweight system cameras, optional systems that enable long-distance video transmission, and new services that enable slow-motion replays and highlight editing. Additonally, Sony will also be exhibiting updates to our live production solution, “Networked Live.”
Multi-purpose camera “HDC-P50A”, camera extension adapter “HDCE-500”
The latest version (compatible with September 2025) of the multi-purpose camera “HDC-P50A” will be exhibited. The “HDC-P50A” is a system camera that is compact and lightweight, offering a high degree of shooting flexibility, and also supports connection to a camera control unit (CCU). The September 2025 update will enable 4K double-speed high frame rate shooting without connecting to a CCU, expanding the scope of use, such as capturing impressive scenes in sports broadcasts.

Additionally, the company will be exhibiting the HDCE-500 camera extension adapter, a new addition to its system camera lineup, for the first time in Japan (scheduled for release in March 2026). Connected to both the camera body and the CCU, this adapter supplies power to the camera body and also converts SMPTE optical fiber connections to single-mode fiber connections, enabling video transmissions up to 10 km between the camera and CCU.
Furthermore, when connected to the HDC-P50A, power supply and video transmission are possible with a single SMPTE cable, supporting improved operability in situations such as when used as a crane camera or in golf coverage where the shooting location and broadcast vehicle system are far apart.
“HawkREPLAY”
Sony plans to demostrate “HawkREPLAY,” a replay server system for live sports broadcasts provided by Sony group company Hawk-Eye Innovations (scheduled to be available in Japan in winter 2025). It will add new value to video content in live sports broadcasts by integrating footage from multiple cameras and enabling slow-motion replays of key scenes from various angles.
“Networked Live”
Virtuoso, which enables various format conversions and processing based on software licenses, will exhibit a new version that supports SRT/HEVC transmission (scheduled for December 2025). The company will also introduce its IP Media Edge function, which enables secure IP connections between different locations.
The MLS-X1 live production switcher will be exhibiting version 2.4, released in October 2025. It now features User Access Control, which limits the menus that can be displayed by each user. In addition, Conditional Action, which combines tally and crosspoint information implemented in version 2.3 to automatically execute operations, has been improved, making it easier to use and allowing for faster execution.
Additionally, it will be possible to realize complex operations that previously required custom software. As a reference exhibit, the company will also introduce solution concepts that take advantage of the expandability of the software and hardware to advance production workflows beyond the role of a traditional switcher, such as SRT compatibility and production in 9:16, which is suitable for viewing on smartphones.
New Sony Imaging Solutions at Inter BEE 2025
The exhibit will feature products and solutions that enable new forms of video expression, such as virtual production, which is increasingly being adopted by cinemas, commercial production, and broadcasting stations, as well as spatial content production. Additionally, the exhibit will propose products and solutions that reduce the man-hours and restrictions required for content production, making content production smoother.

Spatial content production tech
The exhibit will use two sets of Cinema Line’s flagship camera, the VENICE 2, and the VENICE Extension System Mini to shoot stereoscopic images and display them in real time on a spatial reality display. The small camera head of the VENICE Extension System Mini enables stereoscopic shooting at the average human interpupillary distance, while the high-quality, natural 3D images from the VENICE 2 are displayed in real time on the spatial reality display, supporting creators on set.
“XYN” to be exhibited at Sony At Inter BEE 2025
Sony At Inter BEE 2025 will be exhibiting a prototype of the “XYN Spatial Capture Solution,” which enables anyone to easily generate high-quality 3DCG assets for spatial content production. By utilizing a mobile application that supports filming and a cloud service that generates 3DCG assets, Sony plans on demonstrating a smoother production workflow. This is accomplished by significantly reducing the amount of work required for content production, such as creating background assets for virtual production and digitizing filming props.
DX solutions that support the production process
The “Ignite Content Ecosystem” concept, which promotes digital transformation (DX) of production workflows in video production, will be introduced as a reference exhibit. Through collaboration with partner companies, the aim is to build a flexible workflow and streamline the work processes of many stakeholders, including planning/organization, production preparation/research, and secondary use in promotion.
Location entertainment that supports the creation of live content
With interest in highly interactive live content utilizing video content growing in recent years, Sony At Inter BEE 2025 will be demonstrating various location entertainment solutions. This tech leverages its camera and display technologies, as well as the know-how it has cultivated through the delivery of systems to stadiums and arenas. At the Sony At Inter BEE 2025 booth, the company will unveil the creation of live content that will increase visitor engagement and enhance the value of the venue. As an example, the company debuted the solutions adopted at the 2025 World Exposition, Osaka, Kansai, Japan.
